Pitch Please release notes

What changed in each release of the Pitch Please roof pitch app, in plain language. The current public release is 1.1.13 on both the App Store and Google Play. Updates are included with the app and arrive through the store you bought it from.

Release history

Each entry below describes a release that ordinary customers can install from the public stores. Builds that exist only in internal or beta testing are not listed here, because you cannot install them.

Version 1.1.13 Current release

Saved Pictures and annotation became faster, clearer and safer to use.

  • Camera and Direct captures save to Photos automatically when permission is available, and a durable in-app copy remains if the export fails.
  • Saved Pictures now distinguishes the copy in your Photos library from an editable local draft.
  • Select and delete several unwanted in-app pictures with a single confirmation.
  • Add a blank text label without being forced into fixed address or job-number fields.
  • Drag labels with one finger, pinch to resize, or use the accessible adjustment controls.
  • Choose text and background colors independently, which helps outdoors in bright light.
  • Better recovery from interrupted operations, faster handling of large libraries, and improved small-screen and large-text layouts.
  • Required accuracy or compatibility updates can be enforced per platform while you are online. Measurement and saved-picture work still runs offline.

Version 1.1.12

Field documentation became clearer and more dependable.

  • Camera and Direct pictures save reliably to Photos.
  • Pitch and angle values stay complete on smaller screens.
  • Add blank Address, Job number or Notes labels.
  • Drag labels anywhere and resize them with a pinch or the corner control.
  • Choose separate text and background colors for outdoor readability.
  • Open Saved Pictures from Home or Settings to annotate earlier captures.
  • Annotated copies save separately while the original stays unchanged.
  • Improved Camera layout, readout stability, offline Help and save recovery.

Version 1.1.11

A larger update aimed at making field documentation faster.

  • Camera Mode keeps the larger pitch and angle values below the alignment guide, with the zoom controls moved out of the way.
  • Add blank Address, Job number or Notes labels to saved pictures.
  • Short labels fit their text instead of stretching across the picture, and the original picture stays unchanged.
  • Open Saved Pictures from Home or Settings to annotate earlier captures.
  • Improved display stability, save recovery, offline Help and annotation reliability.
