1. Overview

Pitch Please is a roof-pitch measurement app published by GDK Digital LLC. This policy explains the privacy practices for the Pitch Please mobile app only. The general GDK Digital website privacy policy is available at /privacy.

This policy is written to match the app's current data behavior and the privacy disclosures required by the Apple App Store and Google Play.

3. Device permissions and on-device use

Pitch Please uses limited device permissions and local device features so the app can measure pitch, provide optional haptic feedback, keep Direct Mode visible while you work, and save user-requested roof photos. Permission-based access and local device features are not the same as data collection. The app uses these device features locally and does not send the resulting data to GDK Digital or to a third party.

• Camera: The app requests camera permission to show the roof alignment guide and capture a photo when you tap the capture button. Camera preview data is processed on your device.
• Photo library save access: The app requests permission to save the photo you choose to capture. The app does not read, browse, upload, or analyze your photo library.
• Motion sensors: The app reads device motion locally to calculate pitch. Raw sensor streams are not uploaded or logged. A measurement value can be drawn onto a capture you choose to save.
• Haptic feedback: If enabled, the app may use your device's vibration or haptic motor to confirm actions such as saving a photo or screenshot or switching modes.
• Keep Screen On: If enabled, the app may temporarily keep your display awake while Direct Mode is open.

4. Photos and measurements

Every deliberate capture is kept in the on-device Saved Pictures archive before export. Reopen a capture to add movable, resizable Address, Job number, or Notes labels with separate text and background colors. Annotated copies keep the original unchanged. When photo permission is available, the app also saves a copy to your device photo library.

The app does not upload your camera feed, motion readings, pitch measurements, captures, or annotated copies to GDK Digital. You can separately choose to export a picture or attach one to a support message.

5. Local settings

App settings are stored locally on your device so the app can keep your preferences between sessions. These settings never leave your device. Uninstalling the app removes the app's local settings from your device.

6. No data collection

Pitch Please does not collect or transmit:

• personal information, contact information, account information, or payment information;
• photos, videos, camera feed data, photo library contents, pitch readings, or motion-sensor readings;
• precise location, coarse location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or tracking identifiers;
• analytics, diagnostics, crash reports, performance logs, or app usage history.

The app contains no analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, advertising SDK, account system, remote database, or data-upload endpoint.

7. No selling or sharing

GDK Digital does not sell, rent, trade, disclose, or share Pitch Please user information. The app does not collect any personal information to sell or share.

8. No cookies or tracking

The Pitch Please app uses no cookies, tracking technologies, third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking.

9. Update checks and external links

When online, Pitch Please requests a public HTTPS version file from gdkdigital.com at launch or when returning to the foreground. It uses that file for update information and any platform-specific update requirements. The request does not include your measurements, photos, labels, identity, or app-content payload. Like an ordinary web request, it exposes connection metadata such as an IP address to the web server; website handling is covered by the GDK Digital website privacy policy. The app uses a short timeout and continues when the check cannot complete. Measurement, capture, Saved Pictures, annotation, and Help work offline.

If you choose to open GDK Digital links or contact support, those interactions take place in your browser or email app and follow the relevant website, provider, and device policies.

10. On-device app content

The app does not create a server-side user profile or upload a photo archive, measurements, annotations, or local settings. On-device Saved Pictures and photo-library exports remain under your control. Information you voluntarily send through support is separate from app-content storage and is described below.

11. Children

Pitch Please is a general-audience utility, is not directed to children, and collects no data from anyone, including children.

12. Your privacy rights and choices

You can control camera, motion, and photo-save permissions in device settings. Manage or delete in-app captures and annotated copies in Saved Pictures. Photo-library exports are separate copies and can be deleted in your Photos app. Uninstalling Pitch Please removes its local settings and in-app archive; exported photo-library copies remain until you delete them separately.

If you contact GDK Digital directly, we may receive the information you choose to send in that support message. That support interaction is separate from Pitch Please's in-app behavior.

13. Platform privacy disclosures

The Apple App Store privacy details and Google Play Data safety disclosures for Pitch Please should state that the app does not collect or share user data. If a future version adds data collection, GDK Digital will update this policy and the store disclosures before that version is released.

14. Security

Pitch Please minimizes risk by keeping measurements, photos, and settings on your device and by not operating a server-side data collection system for the app. Your device operating system, device permissions, lock screen, cloud-photo settings, and backup settings remain under your control.

15. The feedback form on the support page

The Pitch Please support page has a form for reporting a problem or suggesting a change. It is part of this website, separate from the app, and lets you choose to send information to GDK Digital.

If you use it, we receive what you type: the message, and optionally an email address, app version, and device description if you choose to provide them. Which page you submitted from, your IP address, and your browser user-agent are recorded with it for spam prevention. An email address is optional; without one we cannot reply. Submissions are stored with our other website enquiries and are not added to any advertising or profiling system. Do not include passwords or private customer information in it.

The form also lets you attach up to three screenshots or photos of the problem. Attaching them is optional, and the form works without them. Any images you attach are sent to us as email attachments and are not stored on this website, so they are not kept alongside the written part of your report and are not published anywhere. A photo can show more than you intend, including a job site, a document, or a person, and a phone photo can carry location data in its metadata, so check an image before you attach it. Images are used only to understand the problem you reported.

Nothing in the app sends anything to this form. The app's behavior is described in the sections above.

16. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and the United States, without limiting any non-waivable rights you have under your local laws (for example, GDPR or UK GDPR for EEA and UK users).

17. Changes

GDK Digital may update this policy to reflect app changes, platform requirements, or legal requirements. If the app's data behavior ever changes, this policy and the store data-safety disclosures will be updated before that version ships.
